Bio

Gloria is from Korogwe, Tanzania. She attended primary and secondary school at Kifungilo Girls’School, which she recalls shaping her love for reading English books and writing. While there she read novels as a way to improve her English language skills. During the second year of her secondary school she participated in an essay competition, where she won third position and winning bible. The positive result of that competition saw her put together a drama play, which with assistance from her English teacher, became a special act for visiting schools.
Years later while pursuing a Masters degree in Environmental Sciences at the University of Cologne, she discovered blogging. She began sharing her poems. A friend suggested she compile them into a book. Gloria listened to that precious advice but did not act on it immediately. Instead, she chose to tread carefully with a written short story to an on-line magazine. She randomly chose an English publisher and found one in Poland. She sent her story, where it was picked, “Editor’s Choice of the Week.” There was no stopping her after this.
Gloria lives with her partner in Koenigswinter, Germany. She enjoys writing poetry and tales. Other than making a positive difference to one’s life, her literary works also aim at supporting creativity in others, especially children, by having them participate through drawings or stories. Her aspiration is to see her books available worldwide and raise funds from her writings to support humanitarian related projects.
In her own words she says, “Writing is a pastime I passionately enjoy. As long as it is a passion and I remember to carry a pen and paper, I will never run out of things to write.”
